The Ensemble Sofi & The Baladis (Sofi & The Locals) features soulful and richly textured performances of an array of musical traditions which lie at the heart of Israel's diverse and historic cultures. 
The songs are ancient prayers from the ancestors of the Samaritan people written approximately 4000 years ago.
The Samaritans succeeded to preserve the ancient Hebrew language... the ancient Hebrew that the prophet Moses spoke... Jesus spoke... 
Sofi Tsedaka, singer and musician from Israel, was born into this most likely smallest ethnoreligious community in the world, that succeeded to survive for over 125 generations in the land of Israel. 
For over 20 years Sofi has preformed on stage and TV and she has participated in many festivals in Israel and around the world.
